Every time I see everyone checking in on Facebook at Fly’s Kitchen, those cinnamon rolls look so tempting.Caesar ParkAfter dining there, we wanted to continue the fun, so we begged Teacher Tianlan to take us to the shop. Luckily, they still had cinnamon rolls. Without hesitation, we each ordered one. Coming here really depends on luck—the place is tiny, with only about ten seats!

The storefront is really unassuming—you have to look carefully to spot it.

The dashing male chef at Fly’s Kitchen is named Fly (also known as Brother Fly). He used to run his own restaurant and is very particular about his cooking. He’s the only pastry chef in the shop, so everything is made in limited quantities.

But getting your hands on savory pies and cinnamon rolls is really tough because when we arrived, they had just finished making the pie crusts...

The biggest part of the shop is the kitchen counter, where you can often see Fly making the desserts. That cheesecake, for example, looks absolutely delicious!

The shop uses an Italian coffee machine, and you can even spot the shop’s name on it.

The large oven in the shop holds their signature dessert—cinnamon rolls—which are kept warm. Only two trays are baked per day: one for in-store customers, and the other must be reserved in advance. Each box contains three rolls, and no takeout is allowed without a reservation.

You also can’t just order a bunch to take away—it won’t work. Fly is definitely a boss with a strong personality!

Basically, the menu consists of items from the fridge, mainly desserts. Of course, savory pies and cinnamon rolls aren’t displayed there.

The selection is as shown on the menu, but there are occasionally hidden desserts, like the savory pie series—you can ask the owner what new items they have that day.

Fresh Cheese $90
You can taste the pure flavor of the cheese; it fills your mouth with a rich cheesy aroma. Paired with coffee, it’s absolutely wonderful.

Carrot $110

This is Teacher Tianlan’s favorite—it feels like a very healthy cake, with a great texture. It’s full of carrot flavor without any grassy aftertaste, and it has a dense, satisfying mouthfeel.

Sicilian Iced Coffee $100, Cinnamon Roll $90

This coffee is unanimously loved by everyone. The addition of lemon peel makes it smoother and less bitter, with a delicate citrus aroma that pairs perfectly with dessert.

The cinnamon rolls use a sourdough base, with up to 10 layers of dough meticulously layered. They’re made with fresh walnuts and high-quality, pure cinnamon powder from traditional Chinese medicine shops—that’s why only two trays are baked per day.

Online pre-orders are now available: a box of three cinnamon rolls for 250 TWD. Each person can buy a maximum of two boxes, and pickup is required—no delivery. Estimated pickup time is 2–4 weeks!

Brown Sugar Cappuccino $140

We spent a wonderful afternoon here and finally got to taste the cinnamon rolls I’d been looking forward to. They’re sweet but not cloying—I really wanted to buy some to take home for my kids, but alas, it wasn’t possible. I’ll have to bring them next time!
