China Airways and Sichuan Airlines share flight codes; Songshan Airport now operates 10 weekly flights to Chongqing

Starting today (January 15), China Airways and Sichuan Airlines will launch a code-sharing partnership on the Songshan–Chongqing route. Under this arrangement, there will be a total of 10 round-trip flights per week. Sichuan Airlines becomes the third mainland Chinese airline to sign a code-sharing agreement with China Airways, following Xiamen Airlines and Shenzhen Airlines.

China Airways stated that through the code-sharing collaboration with Sichuan Airlines, it can offer passengers more flexible flight options and enhance travel convenience between the two cities. For the Chongqing route, China Airways departs from Songshan Airport in the morning, while Sichuan Airlines flies in the evening. The different departure times and days allow for a complementary and mutually beneficial effect.

Currently, China Airways operates four round-trip flights per week on the Songshan–Chongqing route, departing Songshan Airport at 10:30 a.m. and arriving in Chongqing at 1:50 p.m. Sichuan Airlines operates a total of six round-trip flights per week: departing at 9:10 p.m. on Tuesdays and arriving at 11:55 p.m., and departing at 8:15 p.m. on Fridays and Sundays, arriving at 11:10 p.m. in Chongqing.
