It's finally here—the century-old Italian patisserie COVA opens in Taipei just before Lunar New Year!

The century-old Italian patisserie COVA from Milan has finally arrived just in time for the pre-Lunar New Year season. Its official Facebook page announced the grand opening date as February 6(latest update: soft opening moved up to before Lunar New Year), leaving only the Japanese restaurant Marumoto, operated by Breeze XinYi, as the final missing piece in Breeze XinYi’s exclusive gourmet lineup. Established in 1817, COVA boasts nearly 200 years of history and was once a gathering place for literati and artists. Aside from Italy, it also has branches in Japan and various Chinese cities including Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. COVA’s cakes, chocolates, ice creams, and coffees are all highly recommended by bloggers as must-try treats.
