Only 1,000 sets of “Happiness & Harmony” available—New Puyuma’s inaugural run gives away commemorative tickets!

To celebrate the inaugural run of the new Puyuma train on February 4, Taiwan Railways will distribute “Baifu to Fulong – Happiness & Harmony” commemorative tickets to passengers on trains 408 (departing Taipei at 07:40) and 422 (departing Taipei at 11:00). The complimentary tickets are valid for the Taipei to Yilan route, limited to 1,000 sets and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fortune-themed ticket stubs such as “Zhui Fen Cheng Gong” (Success at the Fork) and “Yong Bao An Kang” (Eternal Safety and Health) on the West Coast Main Line, “Ji An Shou Feng” (Prosperity and Longevity in Jhihsian) on the East Coast Line, and “Jia Lu Dong Hai” (Fortune from the Eastern Sea) on the South-Link Line have been particularly popular among the public. In 2016, Taiwan Railways introduced a new fortune ticket,“Baifu to Fulong”, crafted by its cultural creativity foundry workshop. Centered around the Chinese character for “fortune” (福), the design not only blesses passengers with abundant good luck but also aims to spark another wave of collectible enthusiasm.
