Welcoming the Year of the Monkey in 2016, Eastern Travel held its annual year-end dinner party tonight (January 26), where enthusiastic employees showed up in dazzling costumes. The event featured major prizes such as flight tickets and cash rewards worth tens of thousands of dollars, creating an electrifying atmosphere.

This year’s year-end dinner featured 25 tables, with creative costumes and performances prepared by employees from various departments—including Sailor Moon, British prep school style, and sailor uniforms—turning the venue into a lively carnival. Right at the start of the dinner, Eastern Group Chairman Wang Linglin announced an additional $100,000 in shopping vouchers as a raffle prize, prompting deafening cheers. The lucky winners couldn’t stop saying “Thank you, Chairman!” as the energy in the room skyrocketed.

In addition to performances by a renowned violinist, the evening also featured entertainers with disabilities showcasing flag dances and guitar performances, bringing warmth to the atmosphere. To foster team spirit, competing groups went all out with their acts. Eastern Travel Chairman Lin Guojun and General Manager Ke Ruhui frequently joined in to interact with employees. Lin Guojun alone added nearly $200,000 in prizes, alongside dozens of other awards including cash red packets worth tens of thousands and flight tickets, keeping the excitement going non-stop.

Ke Ruhui said that in 2015, challenges such as an economic downturn and the MERS outbreak affected the tourism industry, but Eastern Travel kept pushing forward. The company produced the TV show "Eastern Travel Fun Guide" to build consumer awareness. In 2015, Eastern Travel added four new physical franchise stores, with plans to expand to ten in 2016. Beyond TV channels, the company will also develop multiple platforms including TV programs, online, and physical retail locations to achieve even greater success.
