Hong Kong Harbour City's "Chocolate Trail" Kicks Off with Eye-Catching Giant Afternoon Tea Stand

Do you love chocolate? From now until February 21, 2016, Hong Kong Harbour City is hosting the "Chocolate Trail 情．尋巧克力" event. The atrium of Hall II in Harbour City’s Gateway Mall has been transformed into a railway station concourse, offering chocolate enthusiasts access to premium chocolates from nearly 30 world-renowned brands, a chocolate sculpture exhibition, and a personalized chocolate experience where you can add your own photo to gift boxes.

This year, Harbour City has introduced the Chocolate Trail Café for the first time, featuring a massive English-style afternoon tea stand in the center of the atrium that’s highly captivating. “Passengers” can sit on chocolate-shaped chairs at the bottom level and enjoy the various chocolate Tasting Menus, which include pairings of chocolate with whisky, red wine, Chinese and Western teas, coffee, and specialty drinks—giving customers the chance to sample top-tier chocolates and their perfect matches. Those who donate a specified amount to the Hong Kong Leukaemia Fund on-site can also choose their favorite Tasting Menu items.

Harbour City has also invited two master chocolate artisans to present the unique "Artisan's Touch: Chocolate Sculpture Exhibition." Marijn Coertjens from Belgium and Roger Fok (霍耀文) from Hong Kong are both award-winning chocolatiers who have achieved outstanding results in the World Chocolate Masters competition, with Marijn even securing third place.

As for the event’s "Personalized Chocolate Experience," it is a special collaboration between Harbour City and The Artist. Customers can add their own photos to gift boxes, creating a one-of-a-kind present. Additionally, during the Chocolate Trail weekends, those who donate HK$120 to the Hong Kong Leukaemia Fund can receive a limited-edition 2-piece charitable chocolate gift box, and even have their photo printed on the chocolates.

Other highlights include the "Ferrero Gallery" art exhibition at the "Harbour City Gallery," where master chocolatiers from various brands will demonstrate chocolate-making and share sweet chocolate moments. Several restaurants will also launch special menus featuring chocolate pairings with food and drinks during the event period.
