Pingtung’s hand-puppet painted rice fields feature 3D characters from the puppet show, namely Xuan Yuan Zhen and Ye Ye Shu, offering more delicate and graceful designs compared to previous Line-themed painted rice fields. Since its opening, it has attracted many visitors. A photographer used a drone to capture aerial footage, revealing an even more intricate beauty when viewed from above.

Planted over a month ago, the rice field uses four colors—purple, white, yellow, and green—to depict the movements and clothing of Ye Ye Shu and Xuan Yuan Zhen, making it the most popular scenic spot in Pingtung during the Spring Festival. The aerial view showcases the expressions and poses of the figures in the fields, offering a more spectacular sight than viewing from the ground.

In addition to the hand-puppet rice field figures, the Pingtung Tropical Agriculture Expo also features Taiwan’s longest 800-meter green fruit and vegetable corridor, as well as a 3D hill-style flower sea. The event runs for 30 days, is free of charge, and spans 27 hectares divided into 12 zones. Interested travelers can check it out.
