The introduction of Asia’s longest “adults-only” slide by the National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung has sparked widespread public discussion. 1. National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung
The museum showcases Asia’s tallest slide—a 3D spiral slide that stands 18 meters high and is 46 meters long, making it the tallest slide in Asia. Riders descend from a height equivalent to five stories, taking an average of 12 seconds to reach the bottom, or as quick as 9 seconds. This is also a rare “adults-only” slide, where riders must be over 125 cm tall to enter.

2. Kaohsiung Lantern Festival
In 2016, the Kaohsiung Lantern Festival specially imported a 12-meter-tall “3D spiral slide” from Germany. Open from February 8th, visitors could not only admire the dazzling sea of lights from above but also experience the thrill of rapid descent. The slide was available daily from 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm during the festival, at NT$80 per ride.

3. Jiafu Temple in Tainan
Jiafu Temple in Tainan features a rare, ultra-long roller-type slide. It’s recommended to place a wooden board or other padding under your hips. The slide is set up so you can go back and forth without having to walk—saving time and energy, which adds to the fun. Both adults and kids can enjoy it. Nearby, the Xiaolong Cultural Park offers a chance to explore the history of the Pingpu people.
