Dubai’s most luxurious library opens in 2017 – looks like an open book!

Who says Dubai’s wealthy lack cultural refinement? Here comes the new library. With one million volumes, Dubai’s latest library (Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Library) will have its grand opening in 2017, and the most eye-catching feature is — the architecture itself resembles an “open book.”

According tothe arabianbusiness website,this library spans over 60,000 square meters and features comprehensive facilities, such as internet services, various reading areas, a stage, a cinema, and an audiovisual center. Additionally, it offers documentaries, lectures, and a dedicated play area for children.

With the arrival of the Emirates Airline Festival of Literature, there's much anticipation for Dubai’s performance in the literary field. To meet the goals of the 2016 Year of Literature, eight book lending kiosks will also be set up at Kite Beach and Al Mamzar Beach.
