The 2016 flower festivals at Huis Ten Bosch have begun. Tulip Festival
February 8 – April 18
The most anticipated Tulip Festival of the year, featuring beautiful flowers and Japan’s largest-scale light displays, creates the most luxurious spring flower feast at Huis Ten Bosch. Additionally, during the special week from March 19 to April 11, you can enjoy up to 700 varieties of tulips that are only on display during this period.

Shibazakura (Moss Phlox)
April 2 – April 25
Around 205,000 shibazakura flowers cover a hill of approximately 5,400 square meters in the Adventure Park, making it one of the largest flower carpets in Kyushu. At night, there’s also a light-up event, offering a completely different charm from the daytime floral sea.

Grand Floral Festival
April 16 – May 9
A lively and joyous flower parade performance, with colorful flower-decorated floats parading around, and actors dressed as flower fairies, as if stepping into a dreamlike floral kingdom. In the palace gardens of Huis Ten Bosch, artists also decorate the area, transforming the palace into a luxurious flower house.

Rose Festival
May 5 – June 13
Warm sunlight shines on sweet roses, with red, white, pink, and yellow blooms bursting into vibrant life, turning into Japan’s most beautiful rose street. At night, there’s also a light-up event, adding a touch of romance and extra charm to the nighttime roses.

Hydrangea Festival
June 4 – July 4
During this time, you can admire about 800 varieties of hydrangeas, creating an absolutely spectacular sight. The photogenic seaside city is a perfect spot for taking pictures, and you can even take some adorable hydrangeas home. The European Hotel is also transformed into a beautiful hydrangea-themed design, welcoming guests with music.
