The Taiwan Lantern Festival will take place in Taoyuan from February 22 to March 6. The "Taoyuan Story Lantern Area" debuts "mobile lantern vehicles," with their interiors covered in heart-shaped sticky notes as a prayer for Tainan. The exterior is designed around the festival mascots ㄚTao, Yuan Ge, and the Taoyuan Aerotropolis, allowing visitors to ride the mobile lanterns through the 600-meter-long Time Light Corridor, highlighting Taoyuan’s "Tradition," "Impression," and "Future."

During the lantern festival, visitors can explore another major highlight of the Taoyuan Story Lantern Area — the "Taoyuan Story Axis" — via the "mobile lantern vehicles." In the 600-meter Time Light Corridor, a 10-meter-tall Daxi Bridge archway lantern, reconstructed as a fully illuminated bridge, showcases features of the "Traditional Culture Zone." The "Impression Taoyuan Zone" presents an interactive installation called "Sky Light and Rain," depicting a joyful Taoyuan nurtured by light and water. Meanwhile, the "Future Vision Zone" lets citizens experience an interactive digital gateway, symbolizing Taoyuan’s vision of becoming a smart city.

Interestingly, the lantern vehicles are decorated with ornamental lanterns, allowing visitors to sit aboard and admire distinctive scenes of Taoyuan’s 13 districts — including architecture, landmarks, rice fields, and fishing spots — as if traveling through a historical tunnel of Taoyuan. This transforms people, vehicles, and lanterns into unique elements of the festival, amplifying the lively lantern celebration atmosphere.
