China Airlines cheerleading squad CI Beauties makes debut; one member also danced in Jay Chou’s MV

The second-generation China Airlines cheerleading squad “CI Beauties,” composed of 46 flight attendants, ground staff, and other employees, made their first appearance on the 20th at China Airlines’ Songshan office area. Unlike the previous elegant image of flight attendants, these members showed astonishing energy and vitality when dancing. Their debut performance will be at the opening ceremony of the 2016 Taiwan Lantern Festival on February 22, which is highly anticipated.

With more members than the first-generation China Airlines cheerleading squad, CI Beauties includes personnel from within China Airlines such as flight attendants, ground staff, finance, IT, and sales departments—42 women and 4 men in total. After an open recruitment process with over a hundred applicants, the final 46 were selected by professional dance instructors based on criteria such as dance performance and deportment.

The members of CI Beauties all have impressive backgrounds, including Zhao Ren-you, who previously danced in a Jay Chou music video; Wang Yi-wen, who impressed during the audition with her nunchucks skills; and Wei Zi-rong, also known as “Da Mi,” a former member of the CPBL Lami Girls. They are all highlights of the second-generation China Airlines cheerleading squad.

Their first appearance will be performing at the 2016 Taiwan Lantern Festival, where they will present “China Airlines Cheerleading Squad CI BEAUTIES” on the main stage. The performance setlist includes a medley of songs such as PLAY我呸 (Jolin Tsai), Express Yourself (Madonna), Give Me All Your Luvin' (Madonna), and 跳进来 (A-Mei), aiming to deliver a refreshing experience to the audience.
