Three New Highlights: Ultra-healing Duck Totems Emerge Under Zhongxing Bridge in Sanchong

Wow—duck totems have appeared in the riverside park. The New Taipei City Government has set up a land art park themed around ducks in the riverside park beneath Zhongxing Bridge along the Tamsui River. This is a newly developed attraction. When viewed from the nearby embankment, visitors can even spot a heartwarming totem of a mother duck with ducklings, attracting many tourists for photos and making it a “new attraction in Sanchong.”

The duck land art park under Zhongxing Bridge is located at the confluence of the Dahan River and the Xindian River, where years of sediment buildup have formed a sandbar area that serves as a habitat for many waterbirds. To provide a space for ecological observation and promote the importance of respecting and protecting waterbird environments, the New Taipei City Government has redesigned the area into a multifunctional space featuring an ecological buffer zone, lawn area, and walking paths. Visitors can access the beautiful waterfront area via the newly completed Zhongxing Riverside Bicycle Towpath connected to the embankment.

The duck land art park was designed with waterbird ecology and spatial environment features in mind. With small ducks as the theme, two pathway designs shaped like ducks not only offer a leisurely stroll for citizens but also create a visible duck-shaped pattern when viewed from the embankment. Users can even enjoy the adorable duck totems via Google Earth’s satellite view mode.
