Tokyo’s top souvenir “Tokyo Banana” has partnered with leading chocolate brand KitKat to release a new collaborative chocolate, “KitKat Tokyo Banana Flavor.” It will be available exclusively at Tokyo Station’s Ichibangai from November 15th onward.

“Tokyo Banana” (東京ばな奈) is the go-to souvenir choice for Taiwanese travelers visiting Japan. Its smooth banana cream filling and adorable star and heart designs on the exterior have won the hearts of both domestic and international visitors, even earning the title of Japan’s No. 1 souvenir. KitKat, the UK-born chocolate brand launched in 1935, is now sold in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. In Japan, it’s even associated with the saying “your wish will come true,” making it a popular sweet for conveying heartfelt messages.

This collaboration between two beloved dessert brands introduces a new sweet treat that wraps the iconic KitKat chocolate around Tokyo Banana’s signature cream filling. With a smooth and not-too-sweet taste, it’s a fresh new souvenir option for those visiting Tokyo.

According to Tokyo Station Ichibangai, the new collaborative sweet will be available exclusively at the limited-time “Tokyo Banana x KitKat Birth Commemoration Shop” in the B1 food hall of Tokyo Station Ichibangai from November 15th to January 9th, 2018. It will come in two options: a set of 8 or a set of 15. In the future, it will also be available only within Tokyo, with hopes of becoming a favorite souvenir for those visiting the capital.
