Drink coffee and pick roses at Yunshan Water? The boss is super talented and even draws free portraits!

Near the famous Yunshan Water scenic area in Hualien, there's a uniquely charming café"Flower Field Path", a colorful container house that easily catches the eye with its vibrant exterior. Behind it lies a vast rose garden where visitors can not only pick roses but also enjoy rich coffee. The biggest highlight? The walls are covered with portraits the owner, Li Ruiting, has drawn for customers.

Owner Li Ruiting shared that he decided to return to his hometown and start this café business to preserve the last remaining rose field in his family. In addition to afternoon tea and coffee, the café also offers floral drinks like rose and lavender milk tea, as well as roselle tea in the summer.

As the owner has a passion for drawing, he personally designed this colorful container house. All the lovely painted patterns on the walls are his handiwork, and he repaints them periodically to give visitors a fresh experience each time they visit.

Li Ruiting explained that customers can get a personalized portrait based on their social media profile photo just by checking in. When they or their friends visit again, they can find the portrait on the wall and take it home as a unique souvenir. Currently, only portraits of people are offered, while customized cup designs are still in the planning stage.

The rose garden behind the container house is open for tourism, allowing visitors to personally experience the joy of rose picking. The garden currently features roses in seven colors: deep red, peach pink, pink, champagne, white, orange, and purple. Each rose costs 10 NT dollars, and you can pick flowers all year round, with more blooms in the summer and fewer in the winter.

The café has also welcomed an adorable new shop cat named Lu, a stray kitten that was accidentally caught in a mousetrap and ended up staying. Lu follows the owner to work every day, is very friendly, and can often be seen sitting around the café, asking customers for pets.
