So high up—Dubai's 50-story building to feature a 360-degree transparent swimming pool

Pushing the boundaries of travel imagination, Dubai is definitely the expert. Travelers might never have thought about swimming 50 floors above the ground—but Dubai has made it happen, and it’s even 360-degree transparent.
According to the Daily Mail, the new St. Regis hotel is planned for the world’s largest man-made island, and its biggest highlight is this breathtaking, high-floor swimming pool offering panoramic views of the Persian Gulf. It is set to open in 2018.

This will be the fifth St. Regis hotel in the United Arab Emirates and the second in Dubai. It will feature 289 guest rooms and suites, as well as 504 luxury apartments. The location is also highly convenient, as the hotel will be connected to a shopping mall that includes 350 shops, 15 cinemas, 12 restaurants, and more. The metro and tram systems are also nearby.
