According to a survey by the Japan National Tourism Organization, Taiwan is the top overseas travel destination for Japanese tourists. Coupled with the recent rebound of the Japanese yen, this has further boosted their willingness to travel abroad. A Japanese company not only brought 700 employees to Taiwan for a tour but also gathered in the garden plaza of the Grand Hotel Taipei to hold up a map of Taiwan and shouted, “I love Taiwan, Go Taiwan!” as a show of support for the country.

The group holding signs to support Taiwan was from the Japanese company "Fudosan Toshin." This marks the third time the company has organized a gratitude tour for its employees to visit Taiwan, aiming to support Taiwan through tourism and stimulate consumption. To show their support, on the evening of the 29th, Fudosan Toshin’s President Kazuko Wada from the Japanese headquarters led nearly 1,000 employees to gather in the garden plaza of the Grand Hotel Taipei. They simultaneously held up maps of Taiwan and Japan, symbolizing the friendship between the two countries, and together shouted, “I love Taiwan, Go Taiwan!” The scene was also illuminated with synchronized lighting to signify Japan’s vocal support for Taiwan.
