China Airlines Group upgrades its operational system; passengers must check in at the airport 3 hours in advance

To enhance overall internal system services, China Airlines Group will comprehensively upgrade its international passenger operations system. During the system transition period on March 19 and 20, as website and mobile check-in services will be suspended,passengers traveling abroad with China Airlines or Mandarin Airlines need to arrive at the airport 3 hours in advance to complete departure procedures.

China Airlines Group (China Airlines and Mandarin Airlines) will upgrade its international passenger operations system on March 19 and 20. The system conversion is expected to begin at 18:00 Taiwan Time on March 19 and be completed by 08:00 on March 20 (UTC International Standard Time: 10:00 on March 19 to 00:00 on March 20). During the system conversion period, some functions of the passenger service systems—such as corporate website inquiries, mobile business services, and the app—will be suspended.

China Airlines specifically reminds that for passengers served by travel agencies, all ticket refunds and changes must be completed by 5:00 PM on March 18, all ticket issuance with a deadline of March 19 must be finalized, and all dining, seat, and special service requests for passengers on flights on March 19 and 20 must be completed and updated.

Points for passengers to note are as follows:
1. Passengers must bring their electronic ticket paper receipts along with other travel-related documents to the airport counter to complete check-in and boarding procedures.
2. Check-in procedures can only be completed at the departure airport counter,as website and mobile check-in services will be suspended. Passengers are advised to arrive at the airport 3 hours before the flight’s departure time to complete check-in procedures.
