Keelung’s “Stroll Hand-Drawn Map” Launches 10 Must-Do Routes — Explore Taiwan’s Most Romantic Rainy City on Foot

There are many ways to travel, but in recent years, “hiking” has become a favorite among enthusiasts. This year, the Keelung City Government launched the “Walk | Keelung” recreational hand-drawn map, featuring 10 themed classic routes that allow travelers to simply grab the map and go, venturing into Keelung’s alleys to discover a new side of the city you’ve never seen before.

Following last year’s highly acclaimed hand-drawn food maps such as “Aromatic Journey” and “Keelung’s N Ways to Eat,” the Keelung City Government has once again introduced this year’s “Simple Light Traveling: Walk | Keelung” brochure, encouraging visitors to slow down and explore this most romantic rainy city in Taiwan at a leisurely pace.

The Keelung City Government Transportation and Tourism Division stated that the “Walk | Keelung” recreational map, themed around the ocean city, compiles the easiest and most accessible food, drinks, and entertainment options in Keelung, and has planned 10 themed classic routes. These include “Miaokou Michelin Feast,” “Nuannuan Railway Seven Tides,” “Veil of Hidden Spots,” “Old and New on One Street,” “Instagram-Worthy Vibes,” and “Foodie Marathon,” covering the most complete and unique ways to experience Keelung. Travelers only need to follow the map to embark on an impromptu mini adventure, deeply immersing themselves in Keelung’s unique history of consignment shops, Taiwan’s earliest coffee culture, and the distinctive bar scene of an ocean city.
