Since the opening of Mitsui Outlet Park in the emerging Linkou area, the place has always drawn large crowds on holidays. With long lines at restaurants inside the outlet, where should travelers who don’t want to wait go to grab a bite and take a break? ETtoday EBC News specially compiled a list of 9 cafes in the Linkou area for those visiting the outlet. When you’re tired from shopping, why not take a rest at one of these cafes, enjoy a rich cup of coffee and some light snacks before hitting the shops again?

Forest Café is a cozy coffee shop tucked away in an alley. Its entrance, marked by a distinctive green color that matches its name, makes you feel like you're stepping into a forest. Inside, the space is filled with greenery—adorably decorated with small potted succulents, large green walls, and grass mat flooring, creating a comfortable and lovely atmosphere. Recently, they’ve even opened up their spacious second floor for board games, adding to the fun. The café offers a variety of meals including brunch, toast, paninis, focaccia, and pancakes; for drinks, there’s coffee, tea, juice, milkshakes, and smoothies. There are generally no set meal times.

Book Floating Journey Café

A cup of specialty coffee, a few books, and a comfy corner—that’s the scene you’ll likely find when you step into Book Floating Journey. Guests reading and sipping are scattered about, each immersed in their own little world. A large book wall displays carefully selected titles chosen by the owner. The menu features a few sweets, coffees, and teas, making it perfect for spending a whole afternoon.

Wild Man Home-Roasted Coffee

With so many types of coffee it’s hard to choose, but here you can sample before you order. The interior isn’t flashy or romantic—instead, it reflects the simple style preferred by the tech-savvy owner. The boss at Wild Man is quite generous, offering pots of coffee at the counter for customers to try before deciding what to order.

Every Day Beautiful agoodday Café

With large glass windows paired with wooden tables and chairs, Every Day Beautiful exudes a warm ambiance. The menu includes pasta, risotto, coffee, and teas brewed from HEDIARD tea leaves, with no service charge added. Looking out the second-floor window, you’ll see a pleasant green view.

Mr. Coffee

After Mitsui Outlet Park opened, Mr. Coffee humorously put up a sign at its entrance that read “Husband Drop-off Point,” welcoming moms and grandmas to leave their husbands at the café while they shopped—drawing quite a bit of attention. In fact, Mr. Coffee is also a rather unique coffee shop where only single-origin coffees are served, priced around NT$100. Each coffee on the menu comes with a flavor description to help customers choose their favorite.

Saint Martin’s Coffee Workshop

With its two-story all-white independent building, floor-to-ceiling windows, and small garden, Saint Martin’s Coffee Workshop is also pet-friendly. The menu offers Italian estate coffee, single-origin coffee, tea, brunch, sandwiches, pancakes, pasta, risotto, and pizza—plenty of choices whether you’re looking for a full meal or just an afternoon treat.

Purenna French Coffee

Purenna is a bakery, patisserie, and café offering delicate little cakes, various types of bread, as well as seating for dine-in. It also serves brunch, paninis, and sandwiches.
