Cherry blossom season surprise: Japan’s Meteorological Agency officially announced March 21 as the official cherry blossom blooming date in Tokyo, with vibrant pink blooms.And the iconic "Tokyo Tower" in Minato Ward also lit up in pink to match the blooming period. The special pink illumination lasted for just one night,casting a soft, rosy glow that heralded the arrival of spring, drawing numerous Japan enthusiasts who hailed it as incredibly beautiful and expressed a strong desire to visit the site immediately to soak in the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Agency announced that March 21 marked the blooming date for somei yoshino cherry blossoms in areas such as Minato Ward, Tokyo. In celebration of the "cherry blossoms having bloomed," Tokyo Tower specially illuminated in pink. The soft pink lights standing tall in the city allowed residents to feel the arrival of "spring" early. However, this "cherry blossom version of Tokyo Tower" was only on display for that evening, leaving many Japan fans living elsewhere feeling disappointed.

In fact, Tokyo Tower has also pioneered Japan’s first 360-degree 3D night view projection on its observation deck. Starting in March, it introduced a transparent special film to create a "night cherry blossom" light show. From the 150-meter-high observation deck, visitors can see Tokyo’s earliest night-time cherry blossoms.
