Mitsui Outlet Park Linkou sees management change; eyes further expansion in Taichung and Tainan

Mitsui Fudosan Group is carrying out organizational adjustments to its personnel both in Japan and overseas. The current chairman of “MITSUI OUTLET PARK Linkou,” who also serves as the general manager of Mitsui Fudosan’s Taipei branch and chairman of Sanxin Outlets Co., Ltd., {name??}, will complete his phased mission in Taiwan by the end of this month and return to Japan to take on a new role.

It is understood that {name??} stated that the plan to expand in Linkou and Tainan will continue. In the future, the chairman of “MITSUI OUTLET PARK Linkou” will be succeeded by Shimomachi Kazuhiro. Mitsui OUTLET stated today that discussions for subsequent phases of Taiwan expansion are still underway and have not yet been finalized.

{name??} has served at {company name??} for over 20 years, leading the development of numerous commercial facilities in Japan. Notable projects include those in central Tokyo (Ginza, Omotesando) and suburban areas (MITSUI OUTLET PARK, LaLaport). Starting in 2013, he was assigned to Taiwan to oversee the development of “MITSUI OUTLET PARK Linkou” and business expansion in Taiwan. He will now be responsible for the development of new commercial facility projects within Japan.

Going forward, the chairman of “MITSUI OUTLET PARK Linkou” will be Shimomachi Kazuhiro, who served in Shanghai from 2010 to 2014 and led the development of Mitsui Fudosan’s first overseas outlet mall, “SUGI Plaza Ningbo Outlet.” He is currently based in Tokyo, holding a key position in the Overseas Business Division II, overseeing overall development projects in Asia.
