Kansai’s largest multi-purpose shopping mall, EXPOCITY, grandly opened in 2015. In addition to the “tallest in Japan” Ferris wheel, which is expected to officially open in 2016, the various themed restaurants and attractions within the complex have also become pilgrimage destinations for visitors. The extremely popular “Pokémon Expo Gym” is located at the entrance, with the super-cute Pikachu standing on the roof, and the challenging gym-style experience has attracted plenty of attention. The Pokémon Expo Gym (ポケモン EXPO ジム) is located within the Osaka EXPOCITY complex and has attracted numerous Pikachu fans since its opening. The gym is divided across two floors. While the first-floor souvenir area is free to visit,trainers who wish to “challenge the gym” must first purchase a “Pokémon Card” (500 yen) to enter！
There are a total of seven experience facilities inside the gym:Charizard’s Battle Arena(リザードンのバトルアリーナ) – Porygon-Z’s Promotion Studio(ドードーゾディアルのプロモーションスタジオ) – Zoroark’s Wicked Dojo(ゾロアークのウィッキードージョ) – Machamp’s Support Center(カイリキーのサポートセンター) – Macho J’s Pokémon Boxing Class(マッチョ J のポケモンボクシングサイズ)Pokémon BATTLE Bowling(ポケモン BATTLE ボウリング)And Sylveon’s EXPOCITY Investigation Headquarters(サーナイトのEXPOCITYそうさほんぶ)

Each experience facility offers different games as individual paid activities,with prices generally around 500 yen each (for details, please refer to the official website). You can choose your favorite games to enjoy, with each session lasting about 5–10 minutes—definitely satisfying your inner challenger spirit！
In addition, after completing the gym challenge, you can also visit the souvenir area. Aside from a wide variety of Pokémon goods, there’s also an EXPOCITY-exclusive Pikachu available only at the Expo Park. This Pikachu, dressed in striped clothing and wearing a baseball cap, is especially adorable！ In the food section, there are also Pikachu-patterned plastic cups and the highly sought-after “Pikachu Popcorn Bucket.” As a Pokémon fan, you definitely shouldn’t miss out！
