Asia’s Tallest Slide Unveiled: Fully Transparent 13.5-Meter Ride Takes Just 8 Seconds to Reach the Ground

Tainan’s Shijiu-Gu Ren Tang Cultural and Creative Park has officially launched Asia’s tallest extreme slide today (31st). The fully transparent slide stands 13.5 meters tall and allows riders to descend from a height equivalent to five stories in just eight seconds.

The “Asia’s Tallest Extreme Slide,” designed with an industrial look, currently features two slides, with the transparent one currently open to the public. Standing at the height of five stories, the ride includes two spirals. Riders must sit on a sliding mat to reduce friction and fully experience the thrill of high-speed descent—all in just eight seconds. The fully transparent design adds to the excitement during the ride.

Shijiu-Gu Ren Tang Cultural and Creative Park stated that another slide, which takes only four seconds, is even faster but is reserved for professional users and is not open to the public for now. In addition to the slides, an aluminum furnace catwalk serves as the main pathway, adding a mysterious adventure vibe to the former sugar factory. The original space, once a sugar cane residue storage room next to a chimney, has been transformed into a creative slide area. It also features vertical walls suitable for young people to experience abseiling and climbing—an extreme sports playground.
