Can’t afford pricey Arita-yaki? No worries—just pick your favorite cup set, sip some hot tea, and indulge in a little bit of that “lady of leisure” feeling. GALLERY Arita displays over 2,000 sets of Arita-yaki coffee cups, each with its own unique design. Many visitors walk back and forth countless times trying to choose their perfect cup.

GALLERY Arita is a restaurant with an attached Arita-yaki shop. Whether you’re looking for a full meal or an afternoon tea, they’ve got you covered. This time, we were lucky enough to order their daily limited Arita-yaki Five-Course Meal, with only 20 servings available per day—and it’s only offered during lunch hours (11:00–14:00). The full meal, including main dish, drink, and dessert, is 1,300 yen. The food was incredibly flavorful, with well-cooked rice grains that were fluffy yet firm—I even praised it, and I’m usually quite picky about rice. What’s special is that even if you order the same meal, the tableware patterns used for plating are all different. During our lunchtime visit, the place was packed with customers, so it’s best to make a reservation in advance if you plan to come.
