Tourism Center / Comprehensive Report
In recent years, many newly opened restaurants have attracted large crowds, but once the novelty wears off, things return to normal. However, in Taipei City, there are 3 street food stalls that have remained hugely popular for years. They’re always bustling with people, and on weekends, you won’t get a bite or a purchase without waiting at least an hour in line.

Wenzhou Street Shredded Radish Pancake Expert
This shredded radish pancake stall, located near National Taiwan Normal University, was already a favorite on many foodies’ lists even before it relocated from its original spot at the intersection of Wenzhou Street. Ever since it started business, there’s almost always been a line. The affordable, delicious, and generously filled shredded radish pancakes (NT$30 each) have won over many stomachs. Other offerings include egg pancakes, scallion pancakes, and red bean paste pancakes. After moving to the new location, they still serve just these four simple and unpretentious items.

There may be plenty of popular restaurants in the Greater Taipei area that draw crowds, but few have lines that stretch over 100 meters — and Bulaoma might be the only one right by the MRT. No matter when you go, you’ll see a long queue of customers. Because it sticks to a limited menu, the wait time can vary, which might actually be part of its charm. Menu highlights include squid balls, fish balls, meatballs, intestines, and sausages. Each Bulaoma box costs NT$10, with a limit of two boxes per person on-site.
