Due to the forecasted rapid growth in the number of visitors to Japan, the ABBA RESORTS Group, which made history as the first Taiwanese acquisition of a top 100 hot spring hotel in Japan, officially set up its Taiwan headquarters for ABBA Zuoyuzhuang in 2015. The group is actively pursuing promotional and development plans, aiming for a 1.5x increase in tourist numbers.

▲The number of Taiwanese travelers visiting its property, ABBA Zuoyuzhuang, has also increased significantly by about 30% over the past year.
In 2015, the ABBA RESORTS Group achieved remarkable success in the refined travel industry on behalf of Taiwanese people, and also announced its new vision for 2016. The goal is to target Taiwanese travelers and assess the possibility of entering the Taiwanese market to open hotels. Ye Hsin-tsuen, founder and president of the ABBA RESORTS Group, stated that independent high-end travel groups have become the future trend, and the number of Taiwanese travelers visiting its property ABBA Zuoyuzhuang has grown significantly by about 30% over the past year.
ABBA Zuoyuzhuang has only 30 guest rooms, offers meticulous Japanese-style butler service, features ancient mountain peach tree groves over 800 years old, and houses dozens of century-old samurai swords in its collection. It has been praised by renowned author Zhang Manjuan as a “hidden ryokan gem suspended in the forest,” and was even voted by a popular Japanese travel show as the “No. 1 dream guest room in Japan that every local must stay in.” Though located in a second-tier city, bookings need to be made up to six months in advance.
Ye Hsin-tsuen said that Taiwanese travelers are highly appreciated for their hospitality, and the experience at Zuoyuzhuang integrates Taiwan’s spirit with Japanese culture, offering a unique blend of modern freshness.

The group’s founder and president, Ye Hsin-tsuen, said the focus is on the top tier of travelers, hoping to let them feel the flexibility of service embodying the Taiwanese spirit, as well as the ultimate luxury that blends Japanese culture and craftsmanship. Each guest room has its own private open-air bath and uses the highest quality local ingredients from Izu, showcasing Japanese-style hospitality at its finest.
Apart from serving travelers visiting Japan, the ABBA RESORTS Group is also actively promoting its overseas expansion plans. After thorough assessment, the group aims to establish a flagship property in Taiwan within five years. By integrating refined, top-tier luxury with local cultural characteristics, the group strives to become the preferred hotel brand for high-end travelers visiting Taiwan in the future.
