Owls, dogs, and cats aren’t enough anymore—hedgehog cafés are all the rage in Tokyo!

When it comes to pet cafés, few countries can rival Japan. The bustling districts of Tokyo already boast dog, cat, snake, and owl cafés, and now there’s a new attraction—hedgehog cafés!!

According to the UK’s Daily Mail,getting into this café isn’t easy these days. To catch a glimpse of these adorable hedgehogs, visitors have to wait in line for a while. The shop houses around 20 to 30 little hedgehogs, who sleep in transparent bottles and look absolutely adorable.

As for pricing, it’s 1,000 yen (around 300 TWD) on weekdays and 1,300 yen (around 400 TWD) on weekends, with visitors getting one hour to play with the little critters.

“We want to show people another side of hedgehogs. Many have a not-so-great impression of them, but we hope to create opportunities for visitors to touch them,” said an employee, who also works at the rabbit café in the same building.
