Fulong showcases 80 "world's first" sand sculptures; Taiwan's

The 2016 Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival will be held from May 7 to July 10 in Fulong. This year’s theme is “Glory of Gold Sand,” featuring 24 international sand sculptors from 13 countries. A total of 80 themed sand sculptures are expected to be on display, including the world’s tallest building and the world’s most expensive painting.

Now in its 9th edition, the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival and the 4th Taiwan World Sand Sculpture Championship will use the local golden sand of Fulong to sculpt representations of the pinnacle achievements across various fields.World-class superlativesof glory and records, such as the most intense short-distance race in the biological world, the country with the highest density of motorcycles in the world, the world’s tallest building, and the world’s most expensive painting; as well as glories unique to Taiwan,such as Taiwan’s first female president, the liveliest night markets in Taiwan, the moment when thousands...and other content. This event has invited 24 sand sculptors from 13 countries, including the United States, Canada, France, and Lithuania, as well as Taiwan, to participate

开幕当天除了会举行Cosplay走秀活动之外，在5月28日及6月18日，也会由沙雕艺术家王松冠（王拓）老师进行沙雕教学观摩，让参与者可以从玩沙中玩出乐趣。为配合福隆沙雕季，今年也推出台湾好行黄金福隆线套票，沙雕艺术季189元套票，包含巴士、沙雕票、福隆便当等内容。
