Travel Center / Comprehensive Report
Since 2003, Japan has been actively developing its tourism industry. Nowadays, not only Taiwanese people love to travel to Japan, but travelers from Europe and America are also visiting in increasing numbers. So, what are the most beloved tourist attractions in Japan among foreign visitors? Many Japanese institutions have conducted surveys and published findings on this. Recently, the Japanese TV show Qさま!! (Unbeatable Banzuke Quiz King) also released a list of the top 30 favorite attractions among foreigners. The number one spot goes to Mount Fuji, followed by Fushimi Inari Taisha at number two, and Todai-ji Temple at number three.

Among the top 10 attractions, the Kyoto area alone accounts for Fushimi Inari Taisha, Todai-ji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple (6th place), and Kinkaku-ji Temple (4th place). The thousands of vermilion torii gates at Fushimi Inari Taisha, known as the Senbon Torii, became internationally famous thanks to the movie "Memoirs of a Geisha." The seemingly endless, countless red gates leave a deep impression. Tokyo Tower and Tokyo Skytree rank 5th and 10th respectively, while Hiroshima’s Atomic Bomb Dome and Itsukushima Shrine take 8th and 9th places. The top spot is claimed by Japan’s sacred mountain, Mount Fuji.
