Kyoto’s First Pokémon Center Features a “Maiko Pikachu”

The “Pokémon Center,” available throughout Japan, has made its way to Kyoto. Its first store officially opened on the 5th floor of Kyoto Takashimaya in March, making it the 10th such store in Japan and the first in Kyoto. It sells commemorative items for the opening of the Kyoto Pokémon Center, which is quite interesting.

As part of the opening celebration for the Kyoto Pokémon Center, a “Maiko Pikachu” is being sold at Pokémon Centers nationwide. In addition to a rich selection of souvenirs geared toward tourism and educational trips, the store also recommends the “Maiko Pikachu,” styled like a traditional maiko (apprentice geisha).
