A salary of $110K a month — 2,000 applicants compete for Singapore Airlines cabin crew roles, with an acceptance rate of just 1%

Singapore Airlines kicked off its cabin crew recruitment event in Taipei at 10:00 AM today (April 23). Over a thousand candidates turned up for the exams. The airline stated that around 20 new cabin crew members are expected to be hired this time and will join service in due course. Their monthly salary, including allowances, can range from S$4,500 to S$5,000, which is approximately NT$105,750 to NT$117,500.

This year, over 2,000 applicants submitted written materials for Singapore Airlines’ cabin crew recruitment, with more than 1,000 candidates making it to today’s interview round. In the end, around 20 people are expected to be hired, with an estimated acceptance rate of just 1%. During today’s interviews, candidates were evaluated on personal traits, reach height, and on-the-spot reactions, among other details.

Singapore Airlines said that this year’s recruitment is open to recent university graduates of both genders. Upon being accepted, candidates will undergo training in Singapore. Benefits include medical and dental coverage, an annual free flight ticket, and other employee perks.
