Mickey and Minnie take to the skies！ China Eastern’s Disney-themed livery planes may come to Taiwan

Shanghai Disneyland is expected to begin trial operations on May 7 and officially open on June 16. For this launch, Shanghai Disneyland has also collaborated with China Eastern Airlines to introduce a special Mickey and Minnie-themed livery aircraft, which began operating on flights departing from Shanghai today (April 26).

The livery design by China Eastern features a royal blue base color, accented with Mickey and Minnie, as well as elements such as gold stars and ribbons. China Eastern Taiwan Branch stated that there will be a total of six livery planes, with two currently in service — an A330 and an A320 — deployed today on routes such as Shanghai–Chengdu and Shanghai–Beijing. In addition to the exterior livery, the interiors will also incorporate Disney-themed elements, and four more Disney-themed livery planes are expected to join the fleet in the future.

China Eastern Taiwan Branch stated,the allocation of livery planes depends on headquarters scheduling. Currently, the Taiwan–Shanghai route uses A320 aircraft, just like the livery planes. Therefore, efforts will be made to secure the use of Disney livery aircraft in the future, providing an opportunity for them to operate on the Taipei–Shanghai route.
