Taiwanese people’s knowledge of donuts mainly focuses on those from Europe, America, and Japan; however, J.CO, an Indonesian donut brand, boasts as many as 180 branches. With its diverse flavors and wide variety, it is not only loved by locals but also praised by many tourists as “the most delicious donut in the world!” and “a must-try in Indonesia!”
J.CO is an Indonesian donut brand offering dozens of flavors, with both sweet and savory options that are truly unique. Classics like chocolate and matcha are highly acclaimed, and there are also items developed to cater to local palates, such as Thai milk tea and ice cream, with more being added continuously. The open kitchen allows customers to see the making process. Each donut is priced at around NT$15 to NT$20, and it’s common to see customers lining up outside as early as 6 or 7 in the morning.

Many Indonesians love desserts, and thanks to active management, J.CO has expanded to 180 branches across the country in just ten years and has also spread to other Southeast Asian nations, such as Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. This Indonesian brand, fueled by the rise of the middle class, isn’t worried about competing with other countries. Instead, it stands out by focusing on deeply rooted local tastes and culture, becoming a must-try snack when visiting Indonesia. Many tourists who have tried it praise it as even better than well-known Western brands, with some even claiming it’s “the most delicious donut in the world!”
