Shanghai Disneyland Trial Operation: Parade Draws Cheers and Dancing from Crowd

The theme park of the Shanghai Disney Resort, set to open in June, began internal operational testing today. Live-streamed by local media online, the parade was met with enthusiasm as the crowd cheered, waved, and some even danced along to the music.
Shanghai Disneyland started internal operational testing today, but it is only open to cast members and invited guests, and not all attractions are being tested. According to official information, invitees will experience selected rides, entertainment shows, and dining services on designated dates.
Live footage from the Shanghai News Morning Post on Weibo showed that many visitors entered shops as soon as they opened in the morning. Popular spots such as the castle, princess area, and Mickey Club all drew crowds. The "Frozen" theater also received continuous applause.

Additionally, the Disney parade starts from the Festival of Fantasy Parade Route, passes through Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, and ends at Treasure Cove, covering a total distance of about 900 meters. As classic Disney characters appeared one after another, visitors erupted in cheers. Some waved, while others danced to the music.

Jiemian News also provided a live photo and text broadcast. It showed that the "Mad Tea Party" spinning teacups were very popular, with both adults and children taking turns. Other guests queued up to take photos with Winnie the Pooh. The Disney Dream Passport contains information and an index, guiding visitors to locations where they can collect stamps. Collecting six stamps also unlocks a hidden seventh stamp.

Shanghai Disneyland is the first Disney theme park on the Chinese mainland and will officially open on June 16. It sets several global “firsts” among Disney parks, including the tallest and largest Disney castle in the world, the first gathering of every Disney princess, the longest Disney parade route, the first pirate-themed land “Treasure Cove,” the first Chinese-language production of "The Lion King" musical, and the innovative ride “TRON Lightcycle Power Run,” which is also a first-of-its-kind attraction.
