American-style BBQ is all about summer. Starting May 13th, every Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 10:30 PM, the EAST END Bar on the third floor of HOTEL PROVERBS TAIPEI is launching the "Midsummer Weekend Night BBQ Party." Featuring fusion cuisine with an international twist, the menu includes 10 dishes such as smoked whole chicken, slow-roasted bone-in lamb leg, charcoal-grilled oysters, and charcoal-grilled Hokkaido scallops, starting at NT$160 per dish. The smoked whole chicken is limited to 10 pieces daily.

 

To let everyone enjoy a variety of grilled skewers during summer nights, Executive Chef Jiang Panwei of the Western cuisine team designed the BBQ dishes around a global fusion theme, condensing the essence of international cuisines into each dish. Among them, the smoked whole chicken is marinated uniquely to seal in the juices over a full day. Chef Jiang emphasized that the marinated chicken is cooked over charcoal using the far-infrared heat for 40 minutes. This method ensures the chicken is free from burnt or smoky flavors, with all its juicy goodness locked in. Due to the complex preparation process, only 10 are available each day and must be reserved in advance.

Another highlight is the slow-roasted bone-in lamb leg paired with Argentine spice sauce, where a whole lamb leg is slow-cooked at low temperature for about 24 hours before being smoked to perfection. The charcoal-grilled Hokkaido scallops with kelp butter sauce and the charcoal-grilled oysters are grilled whole on the grill until tender and sweet. Other diverse offerings include BBQ pork hock paired with coleslaw salad, grilled octopus with nut and bell pepper sauce alongside crispy fermented black beans, grilled mixed mushrooms with egg, and canned cheddar clams, among others. Guests can choose based on their preferences, with prices starting from NT$160 + 10%.
