When photographers travel, do they make special plans to visit flea markets or second-hand camera shops in search of great deals on vintage gear? If you’re heading to Bangkok, Thailand, check out the Lucky Home Samrong Facebook page first. If you’re lucky enough to catch a photography gear warehouse sale, you’ll find a massive warehouse packed with second-hand Japanese equipment for you to sift through—perfect for killing an entire afternoon.

Lucky Home Samrong holds irregular warehouse sales for various products. Last Sunday (March 24) was a big day for photography gear. Photos posted on their Facebook page show at least two or three thousand cameras and lenses, though the selection of digital cameras isn’t very extensive. Everything is displayed on shelves or large tables for customers to browse freely, and tripods and other accessories are also well-stocked. Many buyers carried shopping baskets provided by the store to hold their loot, and it wasn’t uncommon to see shoppers hauling multiple baskets around.

Lucky Home Samrong is near the Samrong (Sukhumvit Line) BTS station. Their website has a Google Map with clear location directions.
