As the weather gets warmer, eating desserts and cold drinks outside can be risky because you never know what additives the shops use. But with just a few simple steps, you can enjoy a bowl of chilled sweet soup right at home after work. No need to turn on the stove—delicious either hot or cold, it's simple, tasty, and healthy.
Ingredients (Serves 4) – 30 minutes
40g lotus seeds
400g sweet potato
A suitable amount of red dates
A suitable amount of rock sugar
Instructions
1. Wash the lotus seeds, peel and cube the sweet potatoes.
2. Place the lotus seeds, sweet potatoes, and red dates into a rice cooker. Add water to cover the ingredients by about 2–3 cm. Add 2 cups of water to the outer pot or cook until the ingredients are tender.
3. Finally, add an appropriate amount of rock sugar to taste and enjoy.
Although the method is very simple, the deliciousness is not compromised at all. Give it a try yourself.
