Flower Expo Action Starts Now!“hiPage Search Go!” Augmented Reality Experience Is All the Rage

Following the June World Cup search for sports restaurants and MOD schedules, “hiPage Search Go!” officially introduced a new “Flower Expo” section in October. This allows iPhone and Android users to access Flower Expo attraction and exhibition information via their mobile phones. To date, download counts among Chunghwa Telecom, Far EasTone, Taiwan Mobile, and Vibo Telecom mobile users have surpassed 150,000, making it a must-have practical app for smartphone users.

The “Flower Expo” section includes POIs (point-of-interest data) for over a hundred Flower Expo venues across four major exhibition areas (Yuanshan Park, Fine Arts Park, Hsinsheng Park, and Dajia Riverside). These include exhibition halls, horticulture inquiry desks and ticket booths, dining areas, souvenir and retail shops, rest zones, transportation info, information kiosks, entrance and exit details, and exhibition hall entry points. Users can upload photos, leave reviews for each attraction, and share the information on Facebook, Plurk, Twitter, and Wretch, allowing friends to join in the experience as well.

Additionally, the app’s augmented reality (AR) search mode offers three methods: camera, list, or map. The camera mode combines AR technology with the user’s live camera feed, overlaying desired shop information onto real-world views. It also uses a radar display to show the relative position of the user and the shop, making the information on the phone screen crystal clear. List mode clearly lists shop information and directions, while map mode displays shop info and locations using Google Maps. A specially designed large “golden finger” icon also guides users on how to reach each shop, ensuring the information isn’t limited to text alone.

How to use: iPhone users can download the app for free from the App Store on their devices; Android users can download it for free from the Market, Chunghwa Telecom Hami, or Far EasTone S Market.
