Located on the terrace west of the Nóngxi River at the junction of Xīnwēi and Xiāoliáo Villages in Liùguī District, Xīnwēi Forest Park covers an area of approximately 30 hectares. It was once one of the largest nurseries in Taiwan, primarily focused on cultivating tropical forest seedlings, with over 200 varieties, including the most common species such as mahogany, bamboo, and cedar.

From Xīnwēi Forest Park, you can enjoy views of the Central Mountain Range and the landscape of the Nóngxi River. There is also a roughly 2-kilometer-long mahogany avenue within the park. Around the time of the Qingming Festival each year, the green leaves along both sides of the avenue turn yellowish-red, complemented by fallen leaves on the path, creating a tunnel-like effect that’s perfect for walks and photography.

The wooden boardwalk leads to the Xīnwēi Visitor Center, which offers barrier-free tourism consultation services, diverse exhibition spaces, a multimedia room, a nursing room, a prayer room, a book-sharing station, and smart device charging facilities.
