The top American brand JANSPORT was founded in 1967 in Seattle, USA, by three outdoor-sports-loving friends who developed an elastic aluminum-frame backpack that won a design competition. In 1984, when explorers carrying JANSPORT backpacks reached the North Face of Mount Everest, the brand became globally synonymous with high-quality backpacks.
