Minggao Hot Spring is located in the Guguan Hot Spring Scenic Area along the Dajia River, at an altitude of 800 meters on the Central Cross-Island Highway in central Taichung. Since the discovery of the hot spring in 1907, it has been one of the earliest developed hot spring resorts during the Japanese colonial period.
