Located in Huoluo Di, Zhonghe District, New Taipei City, Nanshan Fude Temple is the most popular temple for wealth in northern Taiwan. With stunning mountain scenery, it attracts six dinosaurs that go hiking here, and you can also enjoy the night view of greater Taipei in the evening. Not only for prayers for wealth, many people visit Huoluo Di just to see the dinosaurs.

There are a total of six dinosaurs scattered around Nanshan Fude Temple in Huoluo Di, among which an extra-large one perched above the roadside and parking lot has become a popular photo spot on Instagram. These ancient creatures have caught the time-travel trend, their huge forms almost blending in with the traffic and pedestrians — this uniquely incongruous scene leaves a deep impression.

Huoluo Di, also known as Nanshi Jiao Mountain, stands at an elevation of 302 meters with wide views over the Taipei Basin and the Dahan and Xindian rivers. From here, you can gaze at the Guanyin Mountain and Datun Volcano groups, as well as the Tamsui estuary. In spring, stroll along the walking trails to admire blooming pink cherry blossoms, and after sunset, take in the breathtaking night view of greater Taipei.

Nanshan Fude Temple features a 108-meter-tall statue of the God of Wealth, the tallest Fude Zhengshen statue in Taiwan. Inside the main hall, there’s another two-meter-tall statue of the God of Wealth. You can touch the golden ingot, cane, and beard on the deity’s hand to pray for a year of abundant fortune!
