With the arrival of Christmas, the beautiful Christmas trees on the streets have become popular photo spots for the public. To promote energy conservation and carbon reduction, hotel operators in Hualien spent a year collecting over ten thousand mineral water bottles from guest rooms and created Taiwan’s first eco-friendly Christmas tree, standing four stories tall. The project fully embodies the spirit of recycling and environmental protection, attracting the attention of many visitors.

The body of this eco-friendly Christmas tree is composed of tens of thousands of recycled plastic bottles, making every guest who has stayed at the hotel a contributor to the tree. On the lighting ceremony day, children with disabilities from the Liming Vocational Training Center were also invited to Hualien Ideal Grand Resort to experience the joyful Christmas spirit. Next year, the resort will also collaborate with the sheltered workshop of Liming Vocational Training Center, where the resort’s pastry chefs will regularly teach the children how to make desserts, aiming to enhance their skills, improve dessert quality, and expand sales channels. To celebrate the holidays, the resort is also offering a special promotion: buy one room at the regular price and get another free on weekdays. Guests staying between Christmas (Dec 24) and New Year’s Day (Jan 1) can enjoy the specially launched Christmas and New Year Seafood & Meat Dinner, as well as participate in activities such as Santa’s garden parade, caroling, or New Year’s Eve parties.
