The third-generation Hello Kitty livery aircraft — the Globe Jet — operated by EVA Air took off today (12/26) on the Taipei–Tokyo route (BR2198/BR2197). This follows its deployment on the Taipei–Hong Kong route before Christmas; EVA Air also plans to operate the Taipei–Guam route with a Hello Kitty livery aircraft starting January 3, 2012.

The “Globe Jet” is the third new A330-300 aircraft introduced by EVA Air this year, featuring the “Hello Kitty Around the World” design theme. It highlights how EVA Air’s Hello Kitty livery aircraft bring the world closer together, allowing everyone to travel the globe and collect touching memories along the way.
In terms of travel products, EVA Air has specially curated various tour packages in Hong Kong and Tokyo that include flights on the Hello Kitty Jet to Taiwan. The airline hopes the new aircraft will attract more international travelers to visit Taiwan on the Kitty Jet for a delightful trip. For Taiwanese travelers, EVA Air has also partnered with Sanrio’s theme park in Tokyo, offering exclusive mystery gifts upon entry for those who purchase the EVA Air Tokyo vacation package, bringing extra surprises to local Hello Kitty fans.

Additionally, aviation enthusiasts and Kitty fans have been eagerly awaiting EVA Air’s limited-edition Kitty merchandise, which is now available for sale on board. This includes three models of the Hello Kitty livery aircraft, a 3D puzzle airplane model, and a Hello Kitty apron.
