Lin Yi-chen, who loves champagne roses, today attended the press conference for the "2012 Flowers in Changhua" series of events wearing a champagne-colored dress with a rose-patterned FS skirt, and experienced DIY flower arranging with Changhua County Magistrate Cho Po-yuan, who played the role of "Da Ren Ge." The public can also, starting from the first day of the Lunar New Year (January 23), just like "Cheng Youqing," enjoy various DIY activities including flowers and folk arts at the Changhua Flower Exhibition venue.

Changhua County leads Taiwan in both flower production volume and planting area. This year, coinciding with the Year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar, a 3-meter-tall dragon-themed floral display titled "Prosperous Dragon Auspicious Energy" will be set up in Xizhou Park, spanning over 20 hectares. Surrounding it, four adorable floral dragons named "Fortune," "Prosperity," "Longevity," and "Happiness" will be created.
Changhua County Magistrate Cho Po-yuan said: "This is the largest creative flower and floral art exhibition in Taiwan, using entirely locally grown flowers from Changhua, arranged creatively by farmers. The exhibition hall will also showcase the latest varieties of eustoma and chrysanthemums. In addition to Xizhou Park, nearby attractions such as Tianwei Highway Garden, Beidou Food Area, Zhongxing Valley Fortress Rice Museum, and Wanjing Art Garden will also serve as major activity zones for this year's 'Flowers in Changhua.'"
The main venue, Xizhou Park, will be open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. In addition to a variety of stage performances and local specialty product exhibitions, there will be a hot air balloon flight show in the morning and afternoon (times subject to weather and wind direction). Additionally, an art float and horse carriage parade are scheduled at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Throughout the event, the Changhua County Government has prepared 99,999 saplings to be given away free of charge to visiting tourists. The flower exhibition runs until February 5th—don’t miss out.
