Taiwan High Speed Rail has combined creativity and ingenuity to specially design a series of merchandise themed around the 700T train model, including playing cards, keychains, phone charms, and a variety of super "kawaii" stationery items and ID holders. Starting today (the 18th), passengers can be among the first to purchase them at the “Souvenir Merchandise Vending Machines” set up at Taoyuan Station, Taichung Station, and Zuoying Station. The Q-version train keychains, ballpoint pens, luggage tags, and pull-back toy trains have already been available on board the high-speed rail; passengers may inquire with onboard attendants to make their purchases.
The 700T train-shaped high-speed rail playing cards feature the names of Taiwan High Speed Rail’s eight stations, commemorative illustrations of each station, introductions to the station design concepts, and fun facts about the high-speed rail. Taiwan High Speed Rail’s newly launched 2012 souvenir merchandise features a diverse and rich selection, with each item priced between NT$30 and NT$300. Among them, the high-speed rail train-shaped playing cards are particularly unique, with each card printed with either a high-speed rail fun fact or a commemorative illustration of a station. In addition, practical keychains and phone charms come in refined leather designs as well as cute Q-version styles for passengers to choose from. Luggage tags and ID holder sets offer convenience for identifying luggage and organizing tickets. There are also several stylish and fun train-shaped ballpoint pens, stickers, and stamp sets.
