The “2019 Taipei Rhododendron Season” series of events kicks off on White Day, March 14th this year. With the theme “A Promise Just for You,” from March 14 to April 7, in addition to multiple music performances and cultural and creative markets, there will also be many peripheral activities suitable for couples to enjoy together, such as the “Happy Flower Bear – Nine-Grid Connection Challenge” and “Flower Bear Photo Check-in.”

Those who complete the challenge during the designated period will have the chance to take home great prizes, with the grand prize being a round-trip air ticket for two between Taipei and Tokyo. There are also special awards such as the Lifetime Jewelry Blooming Ring and other romantic prizes, as well as weekly lucky draws during the shopping district promotion week.

The specially customized “Happy Rhododendron Bear” for this year’s Taipei Rhododendron Season made its adorable debut at Da’an Forest Park starting March 14th, exhibited alongside nine other “Happy Flower Bears” representing different flower varieties, becoming the most eye-catching highlight of the flower season.
Visitors can simply head to take photos with the flower bears and scan the QR code sign next to them to link to the official website page for the “Happy Flower Bear – Nine-Grid Connection Challenge.” After logging in with their mobile number to bind an account, completing one connection grants one computer lottery draw. The more connections made, the higher the chances of winning, with possible prizes including a bamboo-woven double picnic basket, a pink cast iron enamel pot, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi gift vouchers, and more. The first 300 participants to complete all nine grid connections will also receive an exclusive “Rhododendron Season Limited Selfie Stick.”
On March 23rd, the day of the “Pink Picnic Concert,” visitors who take photos with the happy flower bears at Da’an Forest Park in advance can exchange for one lottery ticket before 2 p.m. at the designated redemption point. Throughout the concert, major prizes will be drawn in stages, including round-trip air tickets between Taipei and Tokyo, a W Taipei double room stay certificate, a Debauve et Gallais French premium chocolate gift box, a Mandarin Oriental double afternoon tea voucher, and a Lifetime Jewelry Blooming Ring, among others.
On the day of the event, remember to wear pink tops or bottoms. Those who comply with the pink party dress code can exchange for a packet of limited-edition Bob’s popcorn from 3 p.m. at the designated redemption point. Limited to 100 packets, while supplies last.

In addition to on-site check-ins and lucky draws, this year also collaborates with the National Taiwan University Gongguan Shopping District Association for the “Taipei Rhododendron Season x Blooming Gongguan Spring Tour” shopping district points promotion. From March 11 to April 6, shop at participating Gongguan Shopping District stores, Rhododendron Season partner stores (identified by posters), and the city souvenir booth to enjoy double discounts, join weekly lucky draws for the series of events, and accumulate “Gongguan Coins” to redeem shopping discounts.
