Huangshan in Anhui has been one of China’s four great mountains since ancient times. In the past, Taiwanese travelers had to drive from Hangzhou or Nanjing to visit Huangshan. Since mid-January this year, with EVA Air’s direct flights, passengers can now see Huangshan’s beauty in just a 2.5-hour flight. To promote Huangshan tourism, the Anhui Provincial Tourism Administration and Taiwanese travel operators have launched activities including playing games to win travel vouchers worth ten thousand yuan, drawing a prize of one thousand RMB when joining a tour, and uploading photos for a chance to win a free trip to Huangshan.

Last year, a total of 566,000 Taiwanese tourists visited Anhui, an increase of nearly 30% compared to the previous year. Among them, 341,600 visited Huangshan, making it the city’s second largest source of inbound tourists. To coincide with the EVA Air direct flights, the Anhui Tourism Bureau has launched the online event “Discover the Legend of Huangshan – The Travel Voucher Battle” from now until mid-March. Participants who log in during the event period and complete quizzes can accumulate points, with the top five winners receiving travel vouchers worth up to 5,000 yuan and other gifts. Additionally, from now until May 11, those who upload their own photos taken in Huangshan to the event webpage will have a chance to win a “Free Trip to Anhui,” with 10 spots available.

Travel agency Lion Travel has also added promotions, offering “Travel Anhui, Visit Huangshan, Get One Thousand RMB.” For travelers joining Lion Travel’s specified “Huangshan” itineraries from March 1 to April 30, each group will receive a one thousand RMB giveaway. Additionally, there are limited-time special offer itineraries. Join the “Home of Huizhou Merchants, Classic Huangshan 5-Day” trip departing on March 21 and 28, starting from just 13,900 yuan (before tax).
