1. Streets Near the Kaohsiung Cultural Center — “Golden Rain” from Golden Rain Trees
Along the streets near the Kaohsiung Cultural Center, rows of golden rain trees now sway with golden-yellow blossoms, softening the rigid lines of the urban landscape. When petals drift down with the breeze, it creates a breathtaking golden rain that captivates passersby.

2. Riverside Along Kaohsiung’s Qianzhen River — Red Powder Trumpet Trees

In 1997, Kaohsiung became sister cities with Brisbane, Australia. To commemorate this, Brisbane Park was established in the Riverside community, where 100 jacarandas—the city flower of Brisbane—were planted. Every May, the pale purple blooms gradually open, adding romance to the riverside. It’s a perfect spot to take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the early summer holiday.
